Our Nurses

Sarah Wakefield

Sarah started in the veterinary industry in 2008 as a trainee nurse after graduating high school. While working she completed her studies and became a fully qualified veterinary nurse in May 2012.

At the end of 2012 Sarah got married and moved out west to Dalby with her husband Travis. During their time out west Sarah worked in a small country clinic in Bell, where she had the opportunity to work with a variety of small and large animals. In 2016 they moved back to Brisbane and welcomed their daughter, Hannah into the world.

Sarah joined the team at Animal Options in February 2017, working 3 days a week. When she’s not working she enjoys spending time with family and friends, taking her chocolate border collie, Oscar for walks and loves being a mum.

Maddie Brady

Maddie has been apart of the Animal Options team for over a year now working as a part time nurse. Maddie lives in Brisbane with her 2 year old Kelpie X named Oscar, a Burmese cat named Keeva and a pet rat named Blu. Maddie moved from Cairns to Toowoomba with her sister and mum after high school and often visits them and their 3 family pets whenever she can. Maddie continues to study in her spare time and she is due to finish her Certificate IV at the beginning of 2018.

Ana Polli

Polli has always had interest and love for all animals, specially dogs. This passion lead her to pursue a career as a veterinarian. She graduated in 2010 as a veterinarian in Brazil.

In 2014 Polli finished her post graduation in Small Animals Clinic and Surgery than decided to focus in pet nutrition.

She moved to Australia in 2016 and is working as vet nurse since August 2017 in our team while she works towards converting her qualifications to the Australian equivalent.

When she is not working she likes enjoying outdoor activities, such as diving, camping and hiking.

Grace is our receptionist and she loves to meet people and their pets. She’s a Great Dane X Bull Mastiff and was born deaf, this means Grace can’t hear anything you say, but that won’t stop her from loving everyone. Her favourite trick is to jump on the counter to say hello, so make sure you give her a big smile! When Grace is not working, she loves to go to the beach and the dog park, where she can meet new friends.
